The science
Nile Red staining plus microscopy confirmation detects and counts candidate plastic particles, through a CLIA-certified partner lab.
The wider PlasticTox platform was used in a peer-reviewed 29-person Mayo Clinic pilot involving peripheral blood. That study did not validate this saliva product as a medical diagnostic.
Why test?
Water, packaging, dust, textiles, and daily habits all shape exposure. A baseline gives you something to compare after you change them.
plastic particles per liter, on average, in an NIH-highlighted bottled-water study. About 90% were nanoplastics.

No. PlasticTox is for personal exposure awareness and education. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease.
Collection takes about two minutes. Lab results are ready within 72 hours after your sample is received and accepted. Delivery and return transit are separate.
